Missouri Acupuncture Services, LLC was established in Kansas City, Missouri during the Spring of 1996 by Chris Powell, then located in a small space above Wild Oats on the corner of 43rd and Main. The clinic was established to specialize in the treatment of chronic and serious illness with the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine and to work closely with Western medicine to design treatment protocols in the comprehensive complimentary treatment of those diseases. Missouri Acupuncture Services has a unique setting within which to work here in Kansas City. Since the focus is on research and treatment of serious illnesses, they have the opportunity to be in the forefront of promoting the use of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture for diseases like Cancer, HIV, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, and chronic pain. They have access to the Stower's Institute, St. Luke's Cancer Centers, and Kansas University's Complimentary Care Centers. These institutions all have interest in how Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can serve the patient.

In 2007, Boulevard Yoga & Healing Arts was established in the Crossroads area of Kansas City, MO. There, Jennifer Kieltyka had the vision of creating a space for people of different backgrounds to benefit from yoga and alternative health. Jennifer Kieltyka and Chris Powell developed a reputable wellness center offering massage therapy, craniosacral work, yoga, yoga teacher trainings and workshops , and acupuncture services. After 13 years in the Crossroads, Jennifer & Chris moved their office space to Union Hill, January 2020, to continue offering alternative healthcare in the heart of Kansas City, MO. There they have a quiet space with lots of parking, and look forward to seeing you in their new home.
