Yoga Teachers

+ Jennifer Kieltyka owner & director

Jennifer began practicing yoga along with her massage therapy and visionary craniosacral work in 1996. After studying yoga for a short time, Jennifer traveled to India to explore Yoga in the motherland. Studying and living in the Vivekenanda ashram gave her the essence of yoga that deepened her yoga and meditation practice.

She then moved to Los Angeles and had the privelege of studying with many yoga masters as well as healers. Her teaching began in a small studio in Hermosa Beach, CA in 2001.

In 2006 Jennifer completed the Ashtanga 200 Hour Teacher Training program with Richard Freeman in Boulder, CO. This intense level of training was enriching physically through asana, and spiritually, through chanting and meditation.

After moving back to Kansas City in 2003, she wanted to create a space for a like-minded community to gather, reaping all the benefits of alternative wellness. She and her husband Chris Powell, Licensed Acupuncturist, operated Boulevard Yoga & Healing Arts from 2007-2019. Jennifer now offers small group yoga classes and private instruction.

Jennifer loves teaching all levels of yoga students. Her classes can be gentle yet strong, anatomically aligned yet energetically healing. She offers so much gratitude to all her teachers and students alike. Jennifer now shares her knowledge and experiences in her own 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program.

The greatest gift yoga has brought to Jennifer is the ability to find love and kindness in all things, the ability to be present through grief and healing, and knowing when it’s time to rest and time to strive. Most importantly yoga gives her the balance in marriage, motherhood, work, and relationship to God.
